Miley Ray Cyrus was named the number one Power Girl in US Weekly’s February 4th issue with the headline “Top 10 Stars You Need To Know About”. Here’s what they said about her:
Miley Ray Cyrus
The Real-Life Disney Princess
Just 15, she’s enchanting kids, their moms — and all of HollywoodAt the premiere of the 3-D film “Hannah Montana & Miley Ray Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert” in Hollywood January 17 (it hits theaters February 1 for a weeklong engagement), hundreds of tweens cheered the guest of honor. Miley Ray Cyrus, as she strolled the red carpet in a sequined Alberta Feretti minidress and towering Sergio Rossi pumps. The girl most awed by the scene, however, was the star herself. “it’s the craziest thing to be at your own premiere,” she told Us. “I’m always walking down other people’s carpets! I’m like, Hold on a minute! This is my carpet!”
Two nights later, Cyrus has another pinch-me moment when rocker John Mayer attended her Las Vegas concert and met the singer-actress (a fan) backstage. She tells Us, “I said from the beginning that 2008 was going to be a darn good year, and it has!”
Miley Madness
Not that 2007 was exactly so bad for the 15-year-old superstar. Her single “See You Again”, off her double-platinum double-disc set, “Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Ray Cyrus”, started its climb up the pop charts, and tickets to her sold-out concerts were being scalped for up to $2,500. Her Disney Channel sitcom, Hannah Montana (in which Cyrus stars as a spunky teen living with her widowed dad — played by real-life dad Billy Ray Cyrus, 46 — and leading a double life as a blonde pop star Hannah Montana), has attracted more 6-to 14-year-old viewers than any TV show except “American Idol” and has spawned merchandise from Hannah Montana Dolls to bedsheets. “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest tells Us of Cyrus, who earned $3.5 million last year, “Miley has accomplished more than most artists who’ve been in the business for 20 years.”Sucess Secrets
It’s hard to believe that the Tennessee native, who now lives in L.A. (with Dad, mom Tish, 40, older half sister Brandi, 20, younger brother Braison, 13, and younger sister Noah,, is just a teen — albeit a mature one with a private tutor. “Her work ethic is amazing!” her film’s director, Bruce Hendricks, tells Us. “She shows up for rehearsals first thing in the morning with half her pajamas still on, works all day and goes to school.” Cyrus’ concert tour producer, Kenny Ortega, welcomes her input into her concerts and tells Us, “Miley is really once in a generation.” Indeed, though Cyrus tellins Us her new dark-hair look reflects a “rock ‘n’ roll vibe,” the wildest thing she does on the road is play hide-and-seek in hotels with her touring buddies Boo Boo Stewart, 14, and the Jonas Brothers: Kevin, 20; Joe, 18; and Nick, 15 (Cyrus confirms she is currently single and sources say a romance with Nick Jonas, which Cyrus has never made public, is over). While so many young stars are crashing and burning, no wonder this breath of parent-approved fresh air is such a sucess. What keeps Cyrus, whose web sites, Mileyworld.com annd Mileycyrus.com, get roughly a quarter of a billion hits per month, grounded? Her parents. “They’re just the coolest and the chillest,” she tells Us, adding, “my mom taught me that the most important thing is staying true to yourself.”
Keeping it Real
Still, there is a side to Cyrus that is like any typical girl’s: She crushes on Killers lead singer Brandon Flowers and tells Us, “I definitely love to shop!” She adds that she is thankful that, by law, 15 perfect of her earnings go directly into a trust: “I have no choice but to save!” Like anyone yearning for a driver’s license (she turns 16 in November), she is already fantasizing about her dream car: a customized 1950s Corvette. “I want black with three white stripes, black interior, red rearview mirror and red stitching on the seats,” she explains. “With my initials on it!”Of course, the downside to success at such a young age is that even the most normal behavior — like being silly with a girlfriend — can lead to controversy. In December, photos of Cyrus and a pal sucking candy and posing somewhat provocatively hit the Web, leading to speculation that the good girl had a naughy side. “They’re nothing bad!” she told NYC’s Z100 radio station, adding, “It’s two girls at a sleepover, and if all of a sudden that’s bad, then what is the world coming to?” It’s a testament to Cyrus’ wholesome reputation — she can quote the Bible, chapter and verse — that the incident quickly blew over.
Next up for the multitalented performer: There’s a highly anticipated Hannah Montana movie to film, season three of the series to shoot (once the writers’ strike ends) and more sold-out concerts to perform. Still, the wise-for-her-years Cyrus pauses to appreciate the excitement. “Stressing today about tomorrow takes time out of the moment,” she tells Us. “Living in the moment is something I’ve learned to do.”

All I want to say is this is a young actress who wants to be looked up too by children around the world but I just want to say I am a working mother who has tried to take my two girls to the Hannah Montana concert and couldn’t because the tickets were outragous in price $250.00 per ticket and that was the cheapest and over $1000. for the others, so I told my girls we were going to have to skip the concert but promised them the Hannah Montana movie concert and when we were going to that the tickets were $15. ea to see her concert in the theater. That too is outragous $45.00 to take me and my two children. No way would I pay that price to see a concert on the big screen she’s not even there.
I think this actress is asking us parents to pay way too much to have our children enjoy her. So no more Hannah Montana or Miley Cyrus for this mom. She also claims to be a christian but let me say one thing I don’t see her doing anything for charitable causes.
